PITHORAGARH, June 6, 2026 — Project Hirak of the Border Roads Organisation organized a series of preventive healthcare and medical awareness camps for its personnel and Casual Paid Labourers deployed in the remote, high-altitude regions of Uttarakhand.

The healthcare camps were held across strategic forward locations including Kaalapani, Kutti, and Jollingkong to ensure the well-being of the workforce operating under extreme environmental conditions.

The medical camps focused on addressing critical health risks associated with demanding terrains, specifically highlighting cardiovascular health, lifestyle diseases, and alcohol-related disorders.

Additionally, specialized sessions were dedicated to high-altitude ailments, including Acute Mountain Sickness, High Altitude Pulmonary Edema, and High Altitude Cerebral Edema.

The initiative successfully promoted health awareness, enabled early diagnosis, and improved overall medical preparedness for the teams stationed along the border infrastructure projects.
