Anti Drug Awareness Rally and Felicitation Program Held at Nagrota Panjgrain School

Nagrota Panjgrain, May 6, 2026: -The Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Services League organized a comprehensive drug awareness rally and Nasha Mukt pledge ceremony at PM Shri High School Nagrota Panjgrain as part of the ongoing 100-day drug-free campaign initiated by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

The event was led by Dalbir Singh Bhatyal, Vice President of the league, and commenced with a formal flag hoisting followed by the national anthem. Several veteran military officers, including Karnail Singh, Jog Raj Singh Rathore, Rattan Chand, and Kuldeep Singh, spoke to the assembly about the devastating impact of substance abuse on individuals and the community.

During the program, 200 students and 12 staff members formally took the Nasha Mukt pledge to remain drug-free, administered by Dalbir Singh Bhatyal. In a gesture of environmental appreciation, the school staff, led by Incharge Head Master Suman Balla, presented the visiting league members with saplings.

The occasion also served to celebrate academic and athletic excellence within the institution by honoring the top performers of the Class 10th JKBOSE exams for the 2025–26 session, specifically Banshish Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, and Avnitika Sharma.Special recognition was also given to Mustan Akhtar for representing the school at the national level in high jump.

The event saw participation from various prominent local figures, including Ashok Kumar, Charan Dass, Kartar Chand, Bishan Dass Sharma, Pritam Chand, Ram Lal Sharma, and Hans Raj.

The Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Services League concluded the session by reaffirming its dedication to extending this awareness campaign to every village and educational institution across the region to ensure a healthy, drug-free future for the youth.
