Ahmedabad Customs Seizes Gold Biscuits Worth Crores From Dubai Flight at Airport
AHMEDABAD, June 15, 2026 – Customs officers at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad recovered 24 foreign-origin gold biscuits weighing 2.799 kilograms from an IndiGo flight arriving from Dubai.
The seized gold, valued at 4.27 crore rupees, was found concealed inside a speaker box located in one of the aircraft lavatories.
The contraband was officially confiscated under the Customs Act of 1962, and a thorough investigation into the smuggling attempt is currently underway.
