MHA Reshuffles AGMUT Cadre: Shahid Iqbal Choudhary Transferred to Arunachal, IPS Tanushree Posted to Delhi
NEW DELHI — In a major administrative shake-up, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) officers within the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories) cadre. According to the official directive, senior IAS officer Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (2009 batch) has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh, while Saugat Biswas (2006 batch) moves from Arunachal Pradesh to Jammu and Kashmir.
The reshuffle also sees IAS officers Mamta Yadav (2021 batch) and Ishita Rathi (2022 batch) posted to Jammu and Kashmir from Delhi and Puducherry respectively, while Swati Sheemar (2023 batch) shifts from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi. On the police administration front, IPS officer Tanushree (2017 batch) has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi.
Additionally, a wave of officers including Gaurav Sikarwar, Arshi Adil, Tikam Singh Verma, K.M. Priyanka, Rajeev Kumar Ambasta, Deepak Yadav, Anand Kumar Mishra, and Satish Kumar have been deployed to Jammu and Kashmir from various AGMUT segments. The MHA stated that this extensive exercise, spanning Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, Ladakh, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, is aimed at boosting governance and administrative efficiency, with all postings taking effect immediately until further orders.
