NEET UG 2026 Concludes Successfully Across 29 Exam Centres in Anantnag
ANANTNAG, JUNE 21, 2026: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET-UG 2026, was conducted smoothly and successfully today at 29 designated examination centres across the Anantnag district. The district administration made elaborate advance arrangements, deploying adequate manpower and logistics alongside robust security and surveillance protocols to ensure the full integrity of the examination process.
To guarantee fairness, transparency, and compliance with National Testing Agency guidelines, key measures were put in place, including the deployment of observers, magistrates, superintendents, deputy superintendents, supervisors, and invigilating staff. Proper advance training and mock drills for the deployed staff were also conducted as part of the preparatory process.
Earlier in the day, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, accompanied by ADM ACR Tariq Ahmad Malik and other concerned officials, visited several centres, including SHMM, GDC Boys, and GDC Women, to assess the arrangements, logistics, and available facilities firsthand.
The centre staff briefed the administration on specific measures taken for candidate verification, seating arrangements, and the technical readiness of the venues. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat instructed the concerned officials to conduct the examination strictly in accordance with the guidelines and standard operating procedures issued by the National Testing Agency, while extending full support and guidance to ensure ease and convenience for the candidates.
A full-fledged district control room was established for real-time monitoring and coordination, enabling a prompt response to any emergent issues. Appreciating the duty staff for holding the test in a successful and incident-free manner, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the administration remained committed to ensuring a seamless and hassle-free process.
Out of 9,404 registered candidates, 8,488 appeared for the test at the designated exam centres, with the participants expressing satisfaction regarding the overall arrangements and the conducive environment provided to them during the examination.
