CISF Delhi Metro Security Recovers 22 Lakh Valuables Rescues 69 Missing Children DMRC 2026
NEW DELHI, June 20, 2026: Ensuring the safety, security, and seamless transit of millions of daily commuters, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) continues to redefine public safety through round-the-clock vigilance, crowd management, and emergency response.
Beyond its core counter-terror and security mandate, the force has demonstrated deep compassion and integrity, recovering and returning lost monetary valuables worth ₹22,77,061 to anxious passengers over the last six months alone. This impressive recovery includes a diverse array of foreign currencies, such as 80 British Pounds, 6,000 Nepalese Rupees, 130 Singapore Dollars, and 1.15 Crore Indonesian Rupiah.
Furthermore, the CISF successfully traced and returned highly sentimental personal items, including 80 grams of loose gold, intricate gold jewellery, and a lost Mangalsutra, directly to their rightful owners. Underscoring their commitment to humanitarian service, CISF personnel also coordinated closely with the DMRC and the Child Help Line to rescue 69 missing or runaway children, safely reuniting them with their families and cementing the force’s reputation as a guardian of both public property and human lives.
