Ferozepur Police seize over 5 kg heroin and 1.3 lakh restricted pills in major anti-drug operation
FEROZEPUR, June 17, 2026 — Punjab Police have arrested three individuals and recovered a massive haul of illegal narcotics and ammunition during two separate operations targeting drug trafficking networks in Ferozepur.
Officials seized 5.775 kilograms of heroin, 1,33,640 restricted capsules and tablets, 39 cartridges of KF 7.65 caliber ammunition, and 36,600 rupees in cash. Separate cases have been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act alongside other relevant legal provisions at the Arif Ke and Mamdot police stations.
Authorities are currently conducting further investigations to map out the complete supply network, trace financial trails, and identify all other accomplices involved in the racket as part of the ongoing state-wide commitment to eliminate drug trafficking.
