Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Discusses Road Infrastructure Projects with Union Minister Harsh Malhotra

LEH, June 16, 2026 — The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Vinai Kumar Saxena, met with the Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways, and Corporate Affairs, Harsh Malhotra, in Leh today to review critical connectivity initiatives.

The discussion centered on several major road infrastructure projects currently underway across the Union Territory.The ongoing road development projects are designed to significantly improve connectivity within the high-altitude terrains of Ladakh.

According to officials, these infrastructure upgrades are expected to accelerate the economic development of the strategic border region by promoting tourism and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local communities.
