KPDCL announces scheduled power shutdown across parts of Kashmir Division

SRINAGAR, June 15, 2026: The Chief Engineer of Distribution at the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced a scheduled power shutdown across several sectors due to mandatory maintenance and line works.

The power supply to Gudsathoo, Panzan, Lalgam, Rangar, Kharibagh, Kathairgund, and adjoining areas will remain affected on June 16, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Panzan Tapline. Similarly, a shutdown of the 33 kV Alusteng-Zakura Line on the same day, June 16, 2026, will disrupt power supply to Umerheir, Ahmad Nagar, Panchayat, Pandech, Khalmulla, and neighboring localities between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

Further disruptions are scheduled later in the week to accommodate additional infrastructure works. Power supply to Ashajipora, Dialgam, Rohu, Mirbazar, Schichen, Brinty, Malaknag, Reshi Bazar, Janglatmandi, Shirpora, BB Nowgam, Thajiwara, Brakpora, and adjacent pockets will be affected from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM on June 18 and June 20, 2026, owing to the shutdown of the 33 KV Wanpoh-Ashajipora/Malaknag Double Circuit line.

Additionally, the shutdown of the 33 kV Cheshmashahi TRC line will impact the power supply in Durganag, Gupkar, and surrounding locations from 11:30 PM to 2:00 PM on June 20, 2026.
