JKBOSE Syllabus Change Rumors Denied: Board Clarifies No Major Curriculum Changes for Classes 9 to 12

SRINAGAR — The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has officially refuted misleading videos and reports circulating on various social media and media outlets claiming a major change in the syllabus and courses of study for classes 9th through 12th. In an official clarification issued by the Director Academics, the Board firmly stated that no alterations have been made to the core curriculum for the ongoing academic session.

The BOSE clarified that only minor, routine updates were made earlier this year, specifically for class 11th Punjabi, Physical Education, and Functional English, as well as class 12th Environmental Science and Education. Formal notifications for these specific subject updates were already transparently issued in March 2026 well before the academic session commenced, and stakeholders are urged to ignore unauthorized rumors and rely solely on official board communications.
