Udhampur Pulse Polio Campaign 2026: ADC Reviews Preparedness to Ensure 100% Immunization Coverage

UDHAMPUR JUNE 12,2026— Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Prem Singh chaired a vital District Task Force meeting at the district headquarters to review the comprehensive structural arrangements for the upcoming Intensified Pulse Polio Immunisation (IPPI) 2026 campaign.

Aiming to keep the district strictly polio-free, the ADC meticulously evaluated logistical blueprints, cold chain management, vaccine distribution networks, booth placements, and the deployment of mobile vaccination teams. Singh heavily emphasized the absolute necessity of achieving 100 percent coverage for all children under the age of five, explicitly instructing line departments to work in seamless coordination and establish dedicated monitoring teams for real-time daily reporting. Recognizing the geographic challenges of the region, he further mandated intensified public awareness drives, prioritizing high-risk habitations, remote rural pockets, and major transit points to ensure no eligible child is left behind.

Earlier in the session, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Anil Manhas presented a highly detailed micro-plan via PowerPoint, reassuring the task force of the robust availability of vaccine stocks and the advanced training status of frontline field staff. Dr. Manhas confirmed that a strategic mix of fixed booths, mobile transit units, and aggressive door-to-door teams are fully prepared for the three-day national immunisation drive scheduled to take place across the district on June 28, 29, and 30, 2026. The high-level preparatory meeting concluded with a unified commitment from attending stakeholders—including key administrative officers from the Health Department, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), and the Education Department—to execute a flawless, smooth, and highly successful public health operation.
