Army weapons display in Champawat motivates hundreds of youth to join armed forces

CHAMPAWAT, JUNE 9, 2026:- The Army Recruiting Office in Pithoragarh, operating under the Headquarters Recruiting Zone in Lucknow, set up an informative outreach enclosure at an army weapons and equipment display organized by the Pithoragarh Brigade in Champawat.

The initiative aimed to provide young and aspiring school children with a detailed insight into the various weapons systems and inventory of the Indian Army, encouraging them to pursue a secure career in military service through different entry schemes.More than 350 motivated youth attended the event and received comprehensive information about the recruitment and selection process.

Officers guided the students on how to prepare for a career in the armed forces, highlighting the Agniveer scheme and other entry pathways. The outreach program focused on inspiring the younger generation to join the Indian Army and actively contribute to national development and security.
