India expresses deep concern over renewed attacks in West Asia and calls for immediate de-escalation
NEW DELHI, June 8, 2026 :- The Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India has issued an official statement expressing deep regret over the renewed attacks in West Asia, characterizing the developments as a matter of utmost concern to the international community.
According to Press release the ongoing conflict has now lasted for over 100 days, resulting in immense human suffering while delivering a debilitating impact on both the global economy and international energy supplies.In response to the escalating crisis, India has urged all involved parties to immediately de-escalate tensions and prioritize the safety of non-combatants to ensure that civilians are not harmed.
The government emphasized the critical need to conclude ongoing negotiations in favor of a diplomatic solution, aiming for a swift resolution so that long-term peace and stability can successfully return to the region.
