Assam Rifles honours braveheart Bhakta Bahadur Thapa on his death anniversary in Manipur
MARAM, June 8, 2026 — Assam Rifles organized a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at Maram in Manipur to pay homage to Lance Naik Bhakta Bahadur Thapa. The brave soldier made the supreme sacrifice on June 7, 1962, while fighting anti-national elements at Rezenhima in Nagaland.
The commandant, officers, junior commissioned officers, and personnel of all ranks gathered to lay floral tributes and honour his exceptional valour, courage, and unwavering devotion to duty in the service of the nation.
