Indian Army hosts inaugural Suru Summer Carnival under Operation Sadbhavana at Khumbathang

KHUMBATHANG, May 31, 2026 :- The Fire and Fury Corps of the Indian Army organized the first-ever Suru Summer Carnival at Khumbathang on May 30 under the ongoing Operation Sadbhavana initiative.

The landmark event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 800 local civilians and military personnel, successfully bringing together the local community in a grand celebration of sports, regional culture, and mutual camaraderie.

The day-long carnival featured a wide array of activities, including competitive archery matches, specialized youth games, kite flying, and local food stalls.

Highlighting the inclusive nature of the event, a dedicated stall for the Women Empowerment Centre was set up alongside vibrant cultural performances that kept the attendees actively engaged.

The festival provided a vibrant and positive platform for community interaction, cultural exchange, and meaningful engagement between the armed forces and the residents of the region.
