Assam Rifles Conducts Medical Camps in Remote Manipur Villages to Boost Healthcare

MANIPUR, MAY 6, 2026Assam Rifles, operating under the Spear Corps, successfully organized a series of medical camps across the remote border regions of Tengnoupal and Kamjong districts on May 4 and 5, 2026.

The initiative targeted the villages of Chongjang, Aishi, Kongkan, and Phaikoh to provide essential health services to communities with limited access to medical facilities. A total of 281 villagers benefited from the outreach, including 35 residents in Chongjang and 246 individuals across the Kamjong sector.

The medical camps offered a comprehensive range of services, including free clinical consultations, professional dental care, and the distribution of essential medicines at no cost.

Beyond immediate treatment, the medical teams conducted health awareness sessions to educate locals on preventive care and hygiene practices.

These camps underscore the ongoing commitment of the security forces to bridge healthcare gaps in isolated areas while fostering stronger community bonds through humanitarian service.
