DG CRPF Pays Tribute to Martyrs of 2010 Tadmetla Maoist Attack on Anniversary

TADMETLA, CHHATTISGARH – April 6, 2026:- In a solemn tribute to the ultimate sacrifice of India’s internal security forces, the Director General of the CRPF, G. P. Singh, IPS, visited Tadmetla today to honor the 75 CRPF personnel and one Chhattisgarh Police officer who laid down their lives on this day in 2010.

Standing at the site of one of the deadliest ambushes in the nation’s history, DG Singh paid homage to the bravehearts who, sixteen years ago, faced a massive onslaught of over 500 heavily armed Maoist insurgents.

Their unwavering courage in the face of overwhelming odds remains a defining chapter in the history of Indian valor.
The commemorative visit serves as a powerful reminder of the shifting tide in the region. While the 2010 tragedy marked a dark period of insurgent violence, the CRPF’s relentless operational commitment and strategic persistence since then have nearly decimated the Maoist threat in its former strongholds.
