Southern Command Chief Reviews Operational Readiness of Air Defence Brigade in Vadodara
VADODARA, April 3, 2026 — Lt Gen Sandeep Jain, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, conducted a high-level visit to the Vadodara Military Station to review the operational preparedness of the renowned ‘First In Battle’ Air Defence Brigade.
During the visit, the Army Commander was extensively briefed on the formation’s integration of state-of-the-art weapon systems and its proactive “Tech-Absorption” initiatives.
These advancements are strategically designed to ensure dominance over the increasingly complex and emerging aerial battlespace, ensuring the Indian Army remains equipped for modern warfare.
Addressing the troops, Lt Gen Jain commended the formation for maintaining an exceptional state of mission readiness through the seamless deployment of new technology equipment within operational environments.
Highlighting the shift toward multi-domain operations, he urged all ranks to stay ahead of evolving security challenges by harnessing emerging technologies and constantly refining Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
The visit concluded with the Army Commander lauding the steadfast dedication and high morale of the personnel, emphasizing the need to sustain a decisive operational edge across the full spectrum of future conflicts.
