Udhampur Police Rescue Kidnapped Eight Year Old Girl and Arrest Three Suspects Within Two Hours
UDHAMPUR, May 25, 2026 :- The Udhampur Police successfully rescued an eight-year-old kidnapped girl and arrested three suspects within two hours of the crime today. The operation began after a resident of Tikri Pangeri in Udhampur district, Sindoor Singh, lodged a complaint at Police Station Rehambal stating that his daughter, Shwansi Devi, was forcibly abducted by unidentified individuals while she was on her way to school.
The police acted swiftly by registering a case under the relevant section of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and immediately launching an intensive search operation.
A dedicated police team from Police Station Rehambal, led by Inspector Parshotam Sharma and assisted by Police Post Tikri In-charge PSI Rythm Sharma, tracked down the suspects.
During the targeted investigation, the team intercepted the suspected vehicle at Khoon, Battal. The minor girl was safely rescued from the vehicle, and three accused individuals, identified as Ganja Singh of Ramban, Reeta Devi, and Deep Ram of Solan, Himachal Pradesh, were apprehended on the spot. Further investigation into the abduction is currently underway.
