SRINAGAR, July 25 — Srinagar Police attached an immovable property valued at approximately ₹2.74 crore on Saturday as part of the 100-day Nasha Mukti Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan campaign. The seized asset, comprising a double-story residential house along with 12 marlas of land in Soura, belongs to Mubashir Ahmad Hakeem and was confiscated under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act in connection with a case registered at Safakadal Police Station.
Investigations established that the high-value property was acquired through proceeds from illicit narcotics trading. Authorities highlighted that targeting illicitly gained assets remains a key strategy to dismantle drug trafficking networks and cut off financial streams fueling criminal operations. Reaffirming their goal of eliminating drug abuse, police urged residents to assist enforcement efforts by reporting narcotics activities with assurances of complete confidentiality.
