IMPHAL July 28– Security forces recovered a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and tactical equipment from the foothills of the Seijang Cheirao Ching area in the Imphal East district on July 28, 2026.
The seized items included a .303 rifle with magazine, three 12-bore single barrel guns, a .22 rifle, an anti-riot gun, and an AK rifle magazine. Along with the firearms, forces secured three mortar shells, two No. 36 hand grenades, 43 live ammunition rounds of various calibers, three tear smoke grenades, and five wireless sets during the search operation.
