SAMBA, JULY 21, 2026 — In a major crackdown on the illicit drug trade and a firm reinforcement of its zero-tolerance policy, the Samba Police today incinerated a massive haul of seized narcotics valued at approximately ₹21.27 crore. Conducted under the banner of the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan to foster a drug-free society, the destruction drive was executed by the District Level Drug Disposal Committee Samba in compliance with Section 52-A of the NDPS Act. The day-long exercise took place at M/s Anmol Health Care in Rakh Rara village, Ramgarh, under the supervision of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class Ramgarh, while strictly following all legal mandates and environmental safety protocols.
The disposal drive eliminated over 10.28 kilograms of illicit substances confiscated across 28 separate NDPS cases registered at various police stations throughout the district. The destroyed contraband comprised high-value psychotropic drugs and narcotics, including Cocaine, Heroin, Ganja, and Charas, carrying a total estimated market value of ₹21,27,35,000. Reaffirming their unwavering commitment to eradicating drug abuse, the Samba Police urged local citizens to report any suspicious drug-related activities to their nearest police station, assuring full confidentiality for all informers.
