RVC Centre and College Dominates FEI Eventing Trials for 20th Asian Games Selection

MEERUT, March 6, 2026 – In a significant milestone for Indian equestrian sports excellence, the RVC Centre and College, under the aegis of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), successfully organized the FEI Eventing CCI Two Star (Long) and CCI Three Star (Short) competitions from March 1 to March 5, 2026. This high-profile event doubled as the 2nd Selection Trials for the upcoming 20th Asian Games, drawing a panel of prestigious FEI officials from India, Great Britain, and New Zealand to oversee the technical standards of the competition.

The event showcased the elite caliber of Indian riders as they vied for spots on the national team, reinforcing the RVC Centre’s reputation as a premier hub for equestrian training and competitive success.The competition was marked by a stellar performance from the home team, as Risaldar Rakesh Kumar of the RVC Centre and College clinched the Individual Gold in the Three Star Eventing category. In doing so, he successfully met the Team Minimum Eligibility Requirement (MER) for the Asian Games selection trials.

The institution’s dominance was further reflected in the overall standings, with riders from the RVC Centre and College securing three out of the six available medals. Additionally, the Boys Sports Company (Equestrian) cadets demonstrated exceptional skill, claiming four out of six medals in the highest grades of Eventing currently held in India.

This impressive medal haul underscores the effective training programs at the RVC Centre and College and the bright future of equestrian sports in the country.
