MAHORE, July 25 — Reasi Police executed a court-ordered proclamation under Section 84 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita against wanted cross-border terror handler Mohd Qasim, also known as Salman, at his native residence in Angralla village in Mahore.
The action was taken in compliance with orders from the Designated NIA Court in Jammu in connection with a 2022 case registered under various sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. Mohd Qasim, who is involved in multiple terror cases including the 2022–23 Katra and Narwal blasts and is currently believed to be operating from Pakistan, has been directed to appear before the designated court on or before August 21, 2026, failing which further legal proceedings, including property attachment, will be initiated.
A police team led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer Mahore Parul Bhardwaj publicly read out the court’s order in the presence of village representatives and family members, reinforcing the commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police to dismantle cross-border terror networks and bring absconding operatives to justice.
