SRINAGAR (JULY 23, 2026) — Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah took to social media platform X to set the record straight following remarks made by Union Minister and BJP President JP Nadda regarding the Service Selection Board (SSB) paper leak case.
Abdullah confirmed that while the paper leak occurred, Nadda misattributed the timeline and political accountability. Clarifying that the scam took place in 2022 under the administration of the Lieutenant Governor—not during a National Conference (NC) and Congress government—Abdullah thanked Nadda for inadvertently reminding the public of the administration’s past failure.
Citing the critical observations and orders issued by the J&K High Court at the time, the Chief Minister raised sharp questions over the status and findings of the High-Level Committee set up to investigate the matter, urging Nadda to share the missing details during his next press conference.
