Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan awareness camp organized at Chapper Panchayat in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, May 22, 2026 — As part of the ongoing Jan Bhagidaari week-long campaign themed Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle, an awareness camp on the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was organized at Panchayat Chapper in the Dudu subdivision of Udhampur district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh and Sub Divisional Magistrate Doctor Manmeet Kumar sensitized the public about the importance of community participation and the core objectives of the anti-drug campaign. The event witnessed active participation from local residents and served as an effective platform for awareness generation against drug abuse in the remote and tribal area.
Additionally, the camp facilitated direct interaction between the tribal population and various government departments, enabling people to access vital information and services right at their doorstep.
Several government departments set up stalls to disseminate information regarding welfare schemes and citizen-centric services, while also conducting on-the-spot registrations under financial inclusion and other state initiatives.
Targeted awareness sessions under the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan were also organized to educate local youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of leading a healthy, drug-free life.
