Mega health and cancer awareness camp held at PTTI Vijaypur

VIJAYPUR, May 24: The Police Technical Training Institute, Vijaypur, teamed up with the Diva International Foundation to host a major multi-specialty health and cancer awareness camp at the institute campus.

The single-day event was designed to offer comprehensive medical checkups and educate police trainees, staff, and their families on early cancer detection and preventive healthcare.

The camp was officially inaugurated by Ranjit Singh Sambyal, Principal of PTTI Vijaypur, alongside Amardeep Singh Sasan, Chairman and CEO of the Diva International Foundation, in the company of senior officers and local dignitaries.

A medical team consisting of 30 senior doctors, medical specialists, and paramedical staff from various healthcare institutions volunteered their expertise for the initiative. Attendees were able to access general outpatient consultations, free medicine distribution, blood pressure and diabetes screenings, eye exams, and laboratory diagnostic tests.

Additionally, specialized medical guidance was available across fields such as orthopedics, gastroenterology, neurology, ENT, gynecology, and oncology. The medical experts held dedicated counseling sessions focused on lifestyle disease management, healthy living habits, and the critical role of regular checkups in catching serious illnesses early.

Ranjit Singh Sambyal praised the Diva International Foundation and the visiting medical team for bringing the humanitarian initiative to the institute.

He emphasized that such healthcare support and awareness programs are vital for police personnel and trainees who frequently operate under highly demanding conditions.

To mark the conclusion of the event, the institute authorities presented mementoes to the participating doctors and medical experts as a token of gratitude.

The camp concluded with a wide turnout that included several institute officials such as Khushwant Singh, Satish Kumar, and Sonali Kohli, along with faculty members and representatives from the foundation.
