ANANTNAG, July 26 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the Harbah festival at Teerathraj Lok Bhawan in Anantnag and offered prayers to Mata Sidh Lakshmi.
While addressing the gathering, he highlighted that true knowledge comes through humility and urged the public to use their abilities in service of humanity. He noted that the sacred site, historically known as Lokpunya in Kalhana’s Rajatarangini, remains a beacon of the region’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
Reflecting on the challenges of contemporary society, Manoj Sinha observed that while advances in science and technology bring people closer geographically, they can also contribute to rising loneliness and social division. He advocated for embedding spiritual values into individual and institutional conduct to build trust and social harmony.
He emphasized that mental and spiritual health should receive equal priority alongside physical well-being in today’s fast-paced environment.In his address, Manoj Sinha made a direct appeal to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to remain grounded in their cultural roots while pursuing modern education. He called on young people to channel their energy into selfless action and national service.
The festival was attended by several dignitaries, including Brij Lal Bhat, Swami Sriram Charana Aravinda Dasa, Deputy Commissioner Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, and prominent community representatives alongside large numbers of devotees.
