PUNE, INDIA — July 13, 2026 — Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Army’s Southern Command, addressed all officers of the Command today to outline the strategic priorities for the road ahead.
During his address, the Army Commander emphasized operational preparedness, uncompromising integrity, and sustained efforts to enhance the overall happiness quotient of all ranks. He stressed that these core principles are fundamental to maintaining a combat-ready and future-ready military force.
Following his address, Lt Gen Pushkar felicitated several personnel with Commendation Cards, recognizing their exemplary leadership, courage, and resilience during the recent rescue operations at the Waste-to-Energy project site building collapse in Moshi, Pimpri-Chinchwad.
