SRINAGAR, JULY 28 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Tuesday that he has personally spoken with the Deputy Commissioner of Ganderbal and local health authorities to monitor the condition of 39 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims injured in a road accident earlier this morning. The mishap occurred at Ganiwan, Ganderbal, as the devotees were returning after paying obeisance to Baba Barfani.
All 39 injured pilgrims are currently admitted to the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), where they are receiving active medical care. LG Sinha directed the attending health officials to extend all necessary assistance and ensure the best possible medical treatment for the victims. Expressing his concern over the unfortunate incident, the Lieutenant Governor also prayed to Lord Shiva for the swift and complete recovery of the injured devotees.
