SRINAGAR, July 25 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level meeting with Camp Directors and senior administration officials today to evaluate ongoing repair and restoration efforts along the Amarnath Yatra tracks following heavy rainfall.
The meeting brought together civil administration leaders, security forces, and officials from the Shrine Board, Border Roads Organisation, Health, and Meteorological departments to coordinate ground-level recovery.Manoj Sinha assessed structural damage along the route, focusing on damaged tracks, safety railings, and key utility infrastructure.
He instructed executing agencies to prioritize high-risk zones vulnerable to mudslides and shooting stones to ensure a safe passage for pilgrims.To safeguard devotees, the Lieutenant Governor directed the deployment of additional Mountain Rescue Teams and emphasized proactive, real-time weather updates.
He also mandated that critical public services, including drinking water, electricity, telecommunications, and medical facilities, remain fully operational along the pilgrimage route.
