ANANTNAG, JULY 21, 2026: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo participated in the annual Murti Pratishthan Divas celebrations at the historic Mata Uma Bhagwati Shrine in Umanagri, Brariangan, Shangus. Gracing the occasion as the chief guest, Dulloo paid obeisance at the revered site and took part in the sacred Kalash Pooja and spiritual rituals organized as part of a two-day Yagya by the Uma Bhagwati Asthapan Trust. During his visit, he prayed for the peace, prosperity, and overall well-being of the residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
Highlighting the administration’s heritage conservation initiatives, the Chief Secretary reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting and preserving places of immense spiritual and historical significance. He assured that the ongoing developmental project at the shrine would be expanded to include additional infrastructure enhancements, aiming to improve facilities for pilgrims while maintaining the sacred sanctity of the complex.
The religious event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, senior district administration officials, and a large congregation of devotees. Members of the Uma Bhagwati Asthapan Trust expressed their sincere gratitude to Chief Secretary Dulloo for his presence and sustained support toward the shrine’s preservation. Additionally, the Trust commended Deputy Commissioner Bhat for his proactive role and inter-departmental coordination in facilitating smooth arrangements for the function.
