SRINAGAR July 24 : The Irrigation and Flood Control Department Kashmir released the latest gauge readings for the Jhelum river and its major tributaries, recorded at 12:00 PM on July 24, 2026.
The water level at Sangam stood at 18.90 feet and showed an increasing trend, while Asham and Wullar also recorded rising levels at 12.48 feet and 1575.94 metres respectively. Meanwhile, water levels at Pampore and Munshi Bagh were reported as decreasing, measuring 5.09 metres and 18.99 feet.
Among the tributaries, Vishow Nallah at Khudwani recorded a rising level of 6.90 metres, alongside Rambiyara Nallah at Wachi which stood at 1.93 metres and was also increasing. In contrast, Lidder Nallah at Batkoot and Sindh Nallah at Doderhama showed a decreasing trend, measuring 1.02 metres and 2.19 metres respectively.
Doodhganga Nallah at Barzulla remained stable at 1.33 metres. Authorities continue to closely monitor the situation across all key locations.
