Jammu and Kashmir Rifles conducts monsoon disaster relief inspection across Chhattisgarh

JABALPUR, MAY 23, 2026The Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre based in Jabalpur recently undertook a mission-focused Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief reconnaissance mission across seven districts of Chhattisgarh.

The extensive field inspection covered Kabirdham, Bemetara, Durg, Balod, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan, Rajnandgaon, and Mohla-Manpur. The primary goal of the mission was to strengthen regional preparedness for upcoming monsoon-related contingencies and to guarantee a well-coordinated response during potential flood relief and disaster situations.

The exercise provided military personnel with valuable ground-level familiarization regarding local terrain, relief equipment, disaster response resources, and the existing state preparedness framework.

By evaluating these assets on the ground, the mission successfully enhanced overall situational awareness, interoperability, and joint operational synergy among all participating agencies.

This proactive initiative highlights the steadfast commitment of the Indian Army to support civil authorities during emergencies and maintain operational readiness to serve citizens with speed, coordination, and compassion.
