JAMMU/SRINAGAR, JULY 27: Power supply will be temporarily affected in several parts of Jammu, Kathua, and Srinagar due to scheduled maintenance and shutdown works announced by the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) and the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL).
In Jammu, Chief Engineer Distribution JPDCL has notified that areas including Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, parts of Channi Himmat, Malik Market, Bathindi, Sunjwan, Boria, and nearby localities will experience a power cut on July 28 from 5:30 am to 10:30 am. Additionally, Bathindi, Sunjwan, and adjoining areas will see brief power interruptions on July 28 from 5:30 am to 6:00 am and again from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
In Kathua, Superintending Engineer Distribution JPDCL O&M Circle has informed that electricity supply to Old Agriculture Sunjwan, Koulpur, and surrounding areas will remain affected on July 28 and 30 from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. Power supply to Bandral and its adjoining areas will be suspended on July 29 and 31 from 6:00 am to 11:00 am, while Balote Navodaya and neighboring pockets will face a shutdown on July 28 from 6:00 am to 11:00 am.
Outages will also impact Chainpura, Moni, Mandir, Ujh Barrage, Dhanni, Jakhole, Gurah Panditan, Baira Malaman, and adjoining areas on July 28 from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.
In the Kashmir valley, Chief Engineer Distribution KPDCL has stated that a shutdown of the 33 KV Alusteng-Zakura line will be carried out on July 28. As a result, power supply to Pandach, Khalmullah, Umerheir, Panchayat, Ahmadnagar, Pathan Colony, Gulabagh, and adjoining localities will be affected from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
