Jal Shakti and Forest Minister Javed Ahmed Rana meets public delegations to address development issues

SRINAGAR, June 15:- Legislator Qaiser Jamsheed Lone along with several public deputations and individuals met with Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology and Environment and Tribal Affairs Javed Ahmed Rana at the Civil Secretariat to discuss public welfare and ongoing development projects.

The MLA representing Lolab raised constituency-specific matters, seeking immediate intervention to strengthen public infrastructure, upgrade water supply schemes, and improve irrigation facilities. He emphasized the necessity of executing current projects on time to ensure efficient public service delivery and better civic amenities for residents.

A public delegation from Pir Panjal also met the minister to highlight issues affecting the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission, requesting administrative support to guarantee the uninterrupted progress of water supply works. Another group from the same area requested the blacktopping of local roads and brought up various civic issues needing urgent attention.

Additionally, multiple representatives from different parts of Kashmir presented grievances regarding road conditions, power supply, healthcare access, clean drinking water, and pending regional projects.Minister Javed Ahmed Rana listened to the concerns raised by the visiting groups and assured them that all genuine demands would be reviewed on a priority basis.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to responsive governance and efficient public grievance redressal. Following the discussions, the minister instructed the concerned departmental officers to initiate immediate follow-up action to resolve the highlighted civic and infrastructural issues promptly.
