Indian Navy athletes win two gold medals at Asian U20 Athletics Championships 2026
HONG KONG, June 2, 2026 :- Indian Navy athletes delivered outstanding performances at the Asian U20 Athletics Championships 2026 held in Hong Kong, securing two gold medals for the country.
Petty Officer Shahnavaz Khan clinched the top spot on the podium in the Men’s Long Jump event, achieving a remarkable golden leap of 7.84 meters.
Adding to the country’s victory, fellow Petty Officer Basant dominated the Men’s High Jump competition, clearing a height of 2.20 meters to claim the second gold medal for the naval sports contingent.
The Indian Navy praised the young champions for their dedication, tactical excellence, and for bringing international honor to both the service and the nation on the athletic stage.
