Indian Army Revives Vyas Valley Education with Army Goodwill School Inauguration in Gunji
GUNJI, Uttarakhand MAY 22, 2026 — In a major boost to border area development and quality education, the Indian Army has officially restored and inaugurated the Army Goodwill School in the remote Vyas Valley. Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Central Command, formally inaugurated the institution, marking a new chapter for the frontier region. The extensive renovation project was executed by the Panchshul Brigade under the aegis of Headquarters Uttar Bharat, transforming the facility into a modern beacon of hope, opportunity, and renewed aspirations for local children.
