Indian Army hosts multi speciality medical camp for over 300 beneficiaries in Nimu Ladakh
LEH, May 17 — The Fire and Fury Corps of the Indian Army organized a comprehensive multi-speciality medical camp at Nimu in Ladakh to provide essential healthcare services to remote high-altitude communities.
Held on May 16, 2026, the medical initiative brought together 18 civilian doctors from Maharashtra who offered expert consultations across various disciplines, including medicine, surgery, paediatrics, gynaecology, ophthalmology, dermatology, orthopaedics, and dental surgery.
The camp successfully reached out to more than 300 beneficiaries in the region, ensuring access to quality treatment where specialized medical care is typically limited.
The medical camp provided targeted support to 60 ex-servicemen and their families, alongside 223 civilians hailing from various isolated villages across the frontier.
This initiative highlights the continuous efforts of the armed forces to look after the welfare of local populations residing along the remote borders.
Through the successful execution of this specialized camp, the Indian Army reaffirmed its long-standing bond and commitment toward the health and well-being of veterans, serving personnel, and civilians in Ladakh.
