Ferozepur police bust major drug smuggling network and arrest three operatives

FEROZEPUR, May 20, 2026 — Ferozepur police disrupted a significant narcotics trafficking network by arresting three key operatives during two separate intelligence-led operations.

The successful raids led to the seizure of 10.125 kilograms of heroin, two kilograms of methamphetamine, commonly known as ice, and a .30 bore pistol along with ammunition.Law enforcement authorities have registered formal cases against the suspects under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and the Arms Act.

Initial investigations indicate that the arrested individuals belong to a highly organized drug supply chain operating across the region.Specialized police teams are currently conducting follow-up investigations to map out both backward and forward linkages of the syndicate.
