Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Reviews Revenue Matters and Urban Development Initiatives

SRINAGAR, APRIL 24: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, chaired a high-level meeting today to evaluate critical revenue matters and ongoing developmental projects across the valley.

Key topics of discussion included the management of migrant properties, the construction of housing for victims of terrorism, the digitization of land records, and the progress of the Digital Crop Survey.

During the session, the Divisional Commissioner issued specific directives to Deputy Commissioners to ensure that all eligible terror victims possess at least five marlas of land to facilitate the timely construction of their homes.

He also emphasized the urgent need to update and certify Girdawari records for religious and heritage sites to preserve the region’s cultural and historical legacy.The meeting further scrutinized the status of migrant properties, focusing on the removal of encroachments and the efficient disposal of grievances.

Regarding technological initiatives, the Divisional Commissioner urged officials to accelerate efforts under the SVAMITA Scheme and the Digital Crop Survey to ensure wider coverage and data accuracy.

In a push for urban growth, he directed the preparation of Detailed Project Reports under the Urban Challenge Fund to develop revenue-generating infrastructure such as parking lots and bus stands.

Additionally, he called for robust public participation in the Nasha Mukt Campaign’s Pad Yatra to strengthen the collective fight against drug abuse, concluding the meeting with a firm mandate for the timely execution of all reviewed government initiatives.
