JAMMU, July 24: Director Agriculture Jammu Anil Gupta reviewed the functioning and quality control mechanisms of the Soil Testing Laboratory, Pesticide Testing Laboratory, and Fertilizer Quality Control Laboratory at Krishi Bhawan in Talab Tillo.
During an inspection of all three facilities, operational workflows, analytical equipment functionality, testing protocols, record maintenance, and laboratory hygiene were evaluated alongside staff to discuss day-to-day operational challenges.To safeguard agricultural inputs, administrative directions were issued to achieve assigned testing targets within set timelines while maintaining high technical efficiency, scientific accuracy, and complete transparency.
Analysts were specifically instructed to expand testing capabilities to cover additional pesticide molecules, as well as strengthen testing facilities for organic fertilizers, bio-fertilizers, and pesticide residues. Officials confirmed that all three laboratories hold NABL accreditation and are actively upgrading their technical infrastructure to provide accurate and reliable services to the farming community.
