Delhi Police Seize Over 2000 Rolls of Banned Chinese Manjha in Uttam Nagar Raid
NEW DELHI, May 24 — The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has launched a major crackdown on illegal kite strings with a successful raid in the Uttam Nagar area.
During the operation, police teams seized 2040 rolls of banned Chinese Manjha. Officials noted that the timely intervention successfully mitigated the risks of severe injuries and potentially saved numerous human and bird lives, which have been increasingly threatened by the deadly synthetic string during kite-flying activities.
The raid led to the arrest of two accused individuals, including the main source supplier responsible for trafficking the prohibited materials into the area.
The successful operation was executed by a team led by Inspector Mahipal Singh, working under the direct guidance of ACP Satendra Mohan.
The entire crackdown was conducted under the overall supervision of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to enforce the ban on hazardous synthetic strings across the capital.
