Delhi Police Crime Branch Arrests Hashim Baba Gang Shooter Wanted in Welcome Cafe Murder Case
NEW DELHI, May 26, 2026 — The Northern District Range of the Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a close associate and sharp shooter of gangster Hashim Baba who was wanted in connection with a high-profile murder case registered at the Welcome police station.
The accused had been evading law enforcement by hiding in Karnal, Haryana, and frequently changing his locations to avoid tracking.
According to police officials, the accused along with his associates had allegedly shot and killed a man inside a café in the Welcome area of Delhi following a sudden altercation.
The successful arrest operation was carried out by a team led by Inspector Rakesh Sharma under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Police Umesh Barthwal and the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Kumar.
