UDHAMPUR, JULY 23— Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa, chaired a comprehensive review meeting with key Health Department officials to evaluate the district’s performance under the national TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan initiative. During the session, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anil Manhas and District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Anil Saloch presented detailed updates on key performance metrics, including active tuberculosis case detection, treatment success rates, diagnostic screening coverage, and community participation via Ni-Kshay Mitra registrations.
To ensure the campaign achieves its targets, DC Sherpa instructed health officials to aggressively expand TB diagnostic testing, upgrade facilities, and streamline the early identification and treatment pipeline. Emphasizing a holistic healthcare approach, he mandated enhanced patient counseling, proactive active case finding through frontline health workers, and rigorous follow-up monitoring. Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner called for intensified grassroots awareness drives and seamless inter-departmental collaboration to achieve 100% screening coverage across the entire district.
