Dal Lake Inflow Channels and Land Inspected to Prevent Encroachment

SRINAGAR, MAY 20 — Jammu and Kashmir Lake Conservation and Management Authority vice chairman Khurshid Ahmad Shah conducted a field visit to Tailbal, Batapora, Habak Shanpora, and Baghi Chandpora today to inspect various inflow channels of Dal Lake and review the status of acquired land.

Accompanied by the collector, naib tehsildar, patwaris, and other senior officials, the vice chairman emphasized the critical need for proper maintenance of the inflow channels and the strict protection of authority land from encroachments.

He highlighted the importance of ensuring planned development across these environmentally sensitive areas and directed the team to strengthen monitoring mechanisms to secure the long-term preservation and sustainable management of the authority’s assets.
