Army hosts industry and startup delegation in forward areas

GUWAHATI, May 20, 2026An eight-member delegation representing various industries and startups recently visited the frontier locations of the Gajraj Corps as part of the Forward Area Tour 2026.

The visit was organized to bridge the gap between technological innovators and military personnel operating in challenging environments.

During their time in the forward areas, the delegation members held extensive interactions with frontier commanders and commanding officers on the ground. These firsthand discussions allowed the industry representatives to gain direct insights into the unique operational challenges posed by extreme high-altitude terrain and to explore potential solutions tailored to these rugged environments.

The meetings also focused heavily on the integration of disruptive technologies and the rapid induction of new capabilities.

Both sides discussed the deployment of next-generation systems aimed at strengthening military-civil fusion, with the ultimate goal of building a future-ready force capable of tackling modern defense requirements.
