SRINAGAR, JULY 27 — In a major action to dismantle the financial infrastructure of drug syndicates, Srinagar Police have attached immovable properties worth approximately ₹5.60 crore under Section 68F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukti Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
The operation saw Police Station Chanapora attach seven properties belonging to key accused individuals, including Mohd Yaseen Rather of Chanapora (₹65 lakh), Suhail Rashid Haroon of Lal Nagar (₹60 lakh), Mohd Asif Rather of Bagh-i-Mehtab (₹75 lakh), Arsalan Syed Beigh of Natipora (₹35 lakh), Hilal Ahmad Parray of Budshah Nagar (₹1 crore), Danish Reyaz Shah of Sanat Nagar (₹75 lakh), and Saqib Naseer Beigh of Natipora (₹70 lakh), across various registered NDPS FIRs.
Additionally, Police Station Saddar attached a residential house valued at approximately ₹80 lakh linked to Shaheem Farooq Bhat of SD Colony, Natipora, in connection with FIR No. 08/2026. Official investigations identified these attached holdings as illegally acquired assets generated directly from illicit narcotics proceeds.
Reaffirming their zero-tolerance stance against the drug menace, the Jammu & Kashmir Police emphasized that crippling the economic networks of traffickers remains central to their mission, while appealing to the public to continue reporting drug-related offenses with guaranteed confidentiality.
