Agni-1 Ballistic Missile: India Successfully Conducts Short-Range Test-Launch

NEW DELHI, May 22, 2026 — India successfully conducted a test-launch of its Short-Range Ballistic Missile (SRBM), Agni-1, from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur off the coast of Odisha on Friday.

Carried out under the operational control of the Strategic Forces Command (SFC), the launch met all technical objectives and successfully validated all established operational and technical parameters of the missile system.
