BSF Punjab Hosts Vibrant Cycle Rally in Jalandhar to Spark Patriotic Spirit Ahead of 80th Independence Day
JALANDHAR (PUNJAB) | AUGUST 09, 2026 :- In an energetic build-up to the nation’s 80th Independence Day celebrations, the Border Security Force (BSF) Punjab Frontier organized a grand public cycle rally at its Frontier Headquarters in Jalandhar. Held under the national banner of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiative, the event aimed to promote civic participation, fitness, and collective unity while honoring the legacy of India’s freedom struggle.
More than 200 enthusiastic cyclists, comprising border guards, officers, and their family members, pedaled through the city to foster community engagement and inspire citizens to display the national tricolor at their homes. The rally was formally flagged off amidst high patriotic fervor by BSF Punjab Frontier Inspector General Atul Fulzele from the Ashwani Stadium inside the BSF campus. Addressing the gathering during the flag-off ceremony, Fulzele stressed the importance of active citizenship, unity, and continuous contributions toward national development through everyday civic responsibilities.
Winding through prominent commercial and residential corridors of Jalandhar, the colorful procession drew widespread public applause and heightened awareness about the significance of the upcoming Independence Day festivities. By integrating physical health with national pride, the BSF’s outreach initiative highlighted the role of security forces not only as guardians of national borders but also as active leaders in community cohesion and nation-building activities.
